I was talking to Robbie the other day about not getting as excited about music as I did when I was younger. I was worried that I can't get genuinely excited about music anymore. But this track from Micachu has got me excited!! There's nothing I dont like about this song really, okay, its about 4 seconds long, but who cares about that? Don't know what she's going on about like, but that doesn't matter either. It's so much fun, and it's bloody interesting too (I think anyway).

Sexy - People

I know many people already know about this blog, but I felt I needed to show my appreciation for it and mention it here. Everyone loves strange people in strange photos and that is what sexy-people is. It never fails to put a smile on my face and is updated regularly.

METAL MAP!

Came across this on the nialler9 music blog and felt it was not only quite hilarious but also relevant to my current university project (which is a mapping project). And for people out there not sure of their metal band names, very informative.

Beautiful Losers

New research project on the go...pretty happy with the topic our group has been given (subcultures). Upon thinking of books on the subject i immediately thought of "Beautiful Losers," a book i got a few years back. I picked it up because im interested in a couple of the artists involved with it. Its a pretty dense book, lots of nice pictures and art and also a handful of essays on the artists and this kind of new movement they started. I guess its a movement, I dunno.

I tried to find their website so i could link it off my blog and realised they are now making a film about the artists involved! I really want to get a copy.

Emm...what?

Okay so, I try and keep skateboarding away from this blog. But I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this picture/cover. I think its probably the most exciting skateboarding magazine cover since Andrew Reynolds b/s flip down the wallenberg.

Leo Romero (my man here) is a beast and i'm so glad there are people out there in skateboarding pushing it further and further.

Everyone out there who has that thought in their head "oh aye skaters jump down stairs and grind down rails" can now change that thought...dude's are going up that shit now.

Withnail and I...and Ronan, Michael and I.

A couple of weeks ago, myself and two of my good friends paid a visit to the house (Uncle Monty's cottage) that was used in the classic British film "Withnail and I." It was a bit of a trek to get to the now abandoned cottage but was definitely worth it. I had so much character and I would recommend anyone (fan or not) to go and visit. I ended up getting some accidental test shots for my art direction project aswell!

It was a great adventure. Especially when we got chased by animals and when I found the drainpipe and pretended it was a rocket launcher.
