Some Type Experiments

Here are some rough images of the type in my current university project. I'm not a photographer by any means so I am finding this rather difficult but I'm keen to use hand drawn typography as it goes with the rest of the imagery i'm using.

Bit of constructive criticism on this one would be greatly appreciated. I do intend to take more images, with coloured letters and probably in different styles.

Its great fun playin with soil though. So easy to nick.

The Brickyard

The first image here is of a Musk Ox. Which, is an awesome beast.

The second image is a flyer/poster I recently did for one of my favourite places in Carlisle...The Brickyard. So as you can imagine I was very happy to be asked to do this. I put the drawing of the horns in as it is the year of the Ox and also because horns are cool...right? On the back is the monthly gig listings. You can pick one up in the Brickyard I beleive.

The Red Admirals

Wow...forgot about this place for a bit. You'll be happy to know that I've remembered about it now though.

Just before Christmas I did this for a friends new EP. I've done a disc image for it also but I don't have any photos of it.

Photos are a bit rubbish quality. As is the print quality of these sample pieces.
