Corriewood

I am placement at the moment at a company in Newcastle County Down called Hartydesign, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. My first brief has been to come up with a new brand identity for a retirement home in a small town called Castlewellan. They are getting a massive extension to the house in the next year so want a new look to compliment this. The house is pretty bad-ass so I decided to focus on the house and the grounds they've got (9 acres), as these really are the selling points of the company.

These are some shots of the house and the logo (so far). Early days. It will be applied to all sorts of stationery and signage, so there's a bit more to go with it!

Greed

Hey hey hey. I have been away from my mac for a while now as I am on placement in Newcastle (county down, not upon tyne). I am having fun and learning loads! This post is basically to say that I am contributing to another blog now...

If you know me then you'll know I'm a bit obsessed with the art of skateboarding/wheelie boarding etc etc. My good friend Graeme and I now have a blog dedicated to skateboarding! It should be good fun and mildly entertaining/interesting. The plan is to pour out our admiration for it onto the blog and also put up some of our own footage too!

So please be kind and have a look, bookmark it, all that stuff. You may find it of some interest, you never know!

HERE...ITS HERE!

Check out this muscle man. He has no relevance to anything really. Its just funny.

And now, some book covers...

Whilst in Wigtown (previously mentioned), I was in what was claimed to be the largest bookshop in Scotland. This place was a cavernous maze which never seemed to end. I was in awe of the amount of paper in that place.

I was also astounded by some of the titles I came across there and wish to share them with you! I have more than what is here, but these are the best ones. Enjoy.

A Fine find

On my way home to Belfast, me and the dude who is responsible for me (aka dad) took a trip to Wigtown...its like Scotlands national book town or something. It was a pretty cool place.

And yes that is where I found that book you can see pictured above! I was pretty darn excited when I found this gem, I tell you what! Ive not finished it yet so I shant comment but it is so interesting so far.

And so nice to look at.
